INTEGRATED METHOD MARCHIO PATTI

Method Marchio-Patti © has the fundamental objective to educate, in the Latin sense of EXDUCERE, i.e. BRING OUT the potential capacity of everyone through the practice of art (in all its forms) and creativity.

The work with the imagination, therefore, becomes critical to learn because to imagine is an activity of the mind but the mind and body are not separate so anything that belongs to the mind also involves the body and vice versa.

Art, in fact, can be considered as the synthesis between mind and body: an artist, while creating, transforms with the body (when he/she plays, paints or dances) what he/she thought or felt.

That is what concerns the mind.

Precisely this conception of art is based on intervention strategies of their own art method Integrated Marchio-Patti ©.

The concept of art therapy is relatively new. Its origins, however, can be identified since the dawn of human evolution. Humans, from the moment they began to differentiate themselves from animals, have strongly felt the need to leave a mark, an imprint, a gesture - a noise, a sound, a word, a story - that gives meaning to their 'being there'. A need to communicate moods, feelings and emotions.

Then, the act of creating has become 'therapeutic' in the sense that it served to get better. This desire to make a mark and to communicate with others has led humans to experience and experiment. From here has begun the evolutionary process of thought, speech, technology and science.

Method Brand-Patti © guides these openings towards each other, to their needs.

Guide - that is listen first - and intervention. This will then allow the Art Therapist to enter effective contact with the other person involved in the interaction.

To do this, those who work with art therapy must first recognise their emotions and needs and must be able to communicate them.
